Workshop / “Not gay as in happy, but queer as in fuck you”. Die Welt der queer/feministischen Zines von Maria (Leipzig)
Was sind eigentlich Zines und was kann an ihnen queer sein? Zines sind selbst-publizierte und -produzierte, nicht-kommerzielle Hefte, die vor allem in Subkulturen wie Hardcore und Punk geschrieben worden. Ende der 1980er Jahre entstehen in den USA die ersten Queercore Zines, welche die Erfahrungen queerer Punks sichtbar machen. Anfang der 1990er beginnen die Riot Grrrls feministische Hefte zu schreiben. Heute gibt es eine Vielzahl von queer/feministischen Zines und Zineprojekten. Der Workshop gibt einen Einblick in diese Subkultur. Ich werde, neben allgemeinen Informationen zu Zines, verschiedene Zines und Zineprojekte genauer vorstellen. Ihnen allen ist die Kritik an „Normen“ und „Normalität“ gemeinsam. Themen dieser Zines sind u.a. Coming out, trans*, queer und Behinderung, Zustimmungskonzept und intersektionaler Feminismus. Anhand der vorgestellten Zines werde ich genauer erklären, was es mit diesen Themen auf sich hat und wir werden auch in Zines stöbern. Im zweiten Teil des Workshops wird es praktische Hinweise für die Herstellung von Zines geben.

Workshop / Storytelling und Interviewführung von Sandra und Katharina (Leipzig)
Wie führt man Interviews, die lebhafte und authentische Geschichten abbilden? Wir wollen mit euch testen, wie man verschiedenste Thematiken auf sehr nahe und persönliche Weise aufzeigen kann. Einerseits gibt es hier in Bereich des Geschichten Erzählens praktische Hilfsmittel, auf die man zurückgreifen kann und auf der anderen Seite möchten wir uns speziell dem Thema Interviewführung nähern. Wie schaffe ich es über Personen Geschichten wirklich spannend zu erzählen? Worauf muss ich achten, dass es mir als interviewende Person und auch der Person gegenüber gut geht? Bringt gerne einen Notizblock und Stift und/oder ein Smartphone mit.

Workshop / Radical Transfeminism by Nat Raha (Edinburgh)
Radical Transfeminism is a politics that refuses neoliberal inclusion and its terms of debate, understanding that ‘it doesn’t get better’. This workshop will address roots of oppression of trans and non-binary people – while centring trans women and trans femmes – discussing practical forms of solidarity. What economic and social struggles, healthcare needs, and issues as cultural producers do we face? How do we address forms of transmisogyny and disposability in our communities? What imaginative processes, utopian daydreams, might aid us in struggles against austerity, trans- and queerphobic backlash? In a world where we organise around particular points of identity, how do we build solidarity across differences?
Nat Raha is a poet and queer/trans activist, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. She edits the Radical Transfeminism zine. Her writing has been translated into numerous languages and her third book of poetry of sirens, body & faultlines was published last year.

Radikaler Transfeminismus ist eine Politik, die die neoliberale Inklusion und ihre Debattierbedingungen ablehnt und versteht, dass „es nicht besser wird“. In diesem Workshop werden die Wurzeln der Unterdrückung von trans- und nicht-binären Menschen behandelt – wobei Transfrauen und Transfemmes im Mittelpunkt stehen – und praktische Formen der Solidarität diskutiert werden. Mit welchen wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Kämpfen, Gesundheitsbedürfnissen und Problemen sind wir als Kulturproduzent*innen konfrontiert? Wie gehen wir mit Formen der Transmisogynie in unseren Communities um? Welche einfallsreichen Prozesse, utopische Tagträume könnten uns im Kampf gegen Einschränkungen sowie trans- und queerphobe Rückschläge helfen? Wie erschaffen wir uns, trotz alles Unterschiede, ein solidarisches Miteinander, in einer Welt, in der wir uns immer wieder um bestimmte Identitätsmerkmale herum organisieren?
Nat Raha ist Dichterin und Queer-/Trans-Aktivistin und wohnt in Edinburgh, Schottland. Sie gibt das Radical Transfeminism Zine heraus. Ihr Schreiben wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt und ihr dritter Gedichtband of sirens, body & faultlines wurde letztes Jahr veröffentlicht.

Workshop / Your dream / wovon träumst du? Von Nori Blume (Leipzig)
Zusammen machen wir ein fantastisches Zine über unsere Träume! Auf dem Weg dahin erforschen wir auf spielerisch kreative Weise, in welchem Zeichen- und Malstil ihr euch am wohlsten und sichersten fühlt. Außerdem erkläre ich, wie ihr ganz einfach euer eigenes Zine machen könnt.

Workshop / How to do a Mini-Zine von Rhizomia
In dem Workshop geht es darum Mini-Zines zu machen. Das sind Zines aus
einem Blatt Papier, die gefaltet dann ein 8-seitiges Heftchen ergeben. Thematisch ist alles offen. Für mich waren (und sind) Mini-Zines ein super Einstieg ins Zines machen. Ich hatte oft Hemmungen, ein Zine anzufangen und irgendwie auch Druck, dass das irgendwas ganz tolles und spezielles werden muss. Dann hab ich Mini-Zines kennengelernt und da war die Hürde nicht so groß, auch einfach was quatschiges zu machen. Außerdem lassen sich Mini-Zines super einfach vervielfältigen, weil mensch einfach nur ein Blatt Papier kopieren muss. Bringt gerne euer Lieblingshintergrundpapier, Lieblingsstifte, Lieblingsbilder für Collagen etc. mit!

Trans, Inter, lesbische und schwule Menschen werden häufig kriminalisiert, diskriminiert, sie sind oft betroffen von Gewalt und Belästigungen im Alltag. Für die Betroffenen folgt häufig Repression und sie landen auch eher im Knast.Das Knastsystem, Hüter der sozialen Ordnung, behandelt sie so wie alle,
die von Staat und Gesellschaft als gefährlich und unangepasst angesehen werden. Dennoch sind diejenigen, die nicht in die enge, patriarchale und binäre Geschlechterordnung der Gesellschaft passen – also LGBTIQ-Menschen – der ihr innewohnenden Gewalt in einer spezifischen und brutaleren Form ausgesetzt.
Wir bieten Infomaterial zur Situation von LGBTIQ-Gefangenen und Hinweise wie sie unterstützt werden können an. Ein wichtiger Teil der Solidarität bedeutet, Briefe an die Gefangenen zu schreiben. Es wird Informationen und Adressen von LGBTIQ-Gefangenen, Postkarten, Briefmarken und alles
was noch benötigt wird geben. Kein*e Gefangene*r wird vergessen!

Workshop /Bitch `N` Stitch von Hafenzimmer (Göttingen)
Wie viele Handarbeiten galt das Sticken lange Zeit als unmoderne, typisch weibliche-häusliche Handarbeit. Mit diesem Workshop wollen wir euch das Gegenteil beweisen.
Ein Blick auf die Kulturgeschichte des Handwerks verrät, dass es sich beim Sticken um ein globales, vielseitiges Phänomen handelt, das in Mitteleuropa erst im Kontext der Entwicklung von bürgerlichen Wertvorstellungen im 19. Jahrhundert, parallel zu der Entstehung der Konzepte der „Hausfrau“ und der „Mutter“, als eine solche Tätigkeit eingeordnet wurde.
Diese Kunst hat sich schon seit längerer Zeit von ihrem Stigma emanzipiert und Künstler*innen & Aktivist*innen zeigen was alles in diesem vielseitigen Medium steckt.
Dieses „traditionelle Handwerk“ können die Teilnehmenden in dem Workshop neu entdecken und ausprobieren und sich durch das Sticken von Motiven abseits der typischen „tugendhaft- anständigen“ Formen als Ausdrucksform aneignen. Der Workshop ist sowohl für Anfänger*innen als auch Fortgeschrittene geeignet und offen für alle. Material wie, Stoff, Garn und Nadeln sind vorhanden — am besten ihr bringt euren eigenen Stickrahmen mit, da unsere begrenzt sind. Bitte schreibt doch bei der Anmeldung, ob ihr einen braucht.

Lesung / Why I Stopped Making Merch for a Revolution That Does not Happen von Yori Gagarim (Berlin)
„Why I Stopped Making Merch for a Revolution That Does not Happen.“ ist ein schwindelerregendes Essay über Kunst, Aktivismus und Überleben als Künstler_in in aktivistischen Zusammenhängen. Es ist ein innerhalb weniger Tage niedergeschrieber innerer Monolog, der in den Überbleibseln des Punk in den 80ern beginnt, die Anfänge von Streetart, anarchistischer und queerer Subkulturen in Berlin streift und schließlich 2016 mit der schweren aber notwendigen Entscheidung sich selbst zu kündigen, endet. „Why I Stopped Making Merch…“ ist bitter, enttäuscht und wütend. Es ist persönlich, kritisch und wirft viele Fragen auf. Yori ist nach mehr als 1000 Märkten und mehr als 1000 entworfenen Motiven kein bisschen schlauer, aber um sehr viele Erfahrungen reicher.

Workshop / Handpoke Workshop // DIY Tattoos von Frauke (Bremen)

In diesem Workshop lernt ihr, wie mensch Handpoke-Tattoos sticht. Handpoke bedeutet, dass ohne Tattoomaschine, nur mit Tattoonadel und der Hand tätowiert wird. Außerdem lernt ihr, wie mensch ein Stencil anfertigt und es auf die Übungs’haut‘ (in diesem Fall Obst) anbringt. Ihr bekommt erklärt, wie hygienisch und steril gearbeitet wird und wie ein Arbeitsplatz auf- und abgebaut wird. Uuund natürlich, wie tätowiert wird. Bitte überlegt euch vorher ein kleines Motiv. Sonst bleibt alles wie gehabt: Zusammen mit anderen Leuten, die sich im lesbischen, schwulen, bisexuellen, trans, inter, asexuellen und/oder im queeren Spektrum verorten, könnt Ihr hier miteinander reden, flirten oder einfach gemütlich ein Bier oder eine Limo im Garten trinken und später am Lagerfeuer sitzen. Um diesen Abend für alle angenehm zu gestalten, ist uns ein achtsamer Umgang miteinander wichtig.

Workshop / “Not gay as in happy, but queer as in fuck you”. The world of queer/feminist zines by Maria (Leipzig)
What are zines and what can be queer about them? Zines are self-published and -produced, non-commercial DIY magazines that have been written mainly in subcultures such as hardcore and punk. At the end of the 1980s, the first Queercore zines were created in the USA, revealing the experiences of queer punks. In the early 1990s, the Riot Grrrls began to write feminist zines. Today, there are a variety of queer/feminist zines and zine projects. The workshop gives an insight into this subculture. In addition to general information on zines, I will introduce a number of zines and zine projects in more detail. They all have the criticism of „norms“ and „normality“ in common. Topics of these zines are, amonst other, Coming out, trans*, queer and disability, consent and intersectional feminism. Based on the featured zines, I will explain in more detail what these topics are about and we will also browse through zines. In the second part of the workshop there will be practical hints for the production of zines.

How do you conduct interviews that depict lively and authentic stories? We want to test with you how to present different topics in a very close and personal way. On the one hand, in the area of storytelling there are practical tools that can be used and, on the other hand, we would like to approach the subject of interviewing. How do I manage to tell stories about people in a really exciting way? What do I have to watch out for, so that both, the interviewing person aswell as the interviewed person, are fine?

Workshop / How to do a mini-zine by Rhizomia (Leipzig)
The workshop is about making mini-zines. These are zines from a sheet of paper, which when folded will yield an 8-page booklet. Thematically everything is open. For me, mini-zines were (and are) a great way to start zines. I’ve often had inhibitions to start a zine and somehow felt pressure that it must become something great and special. Then I got to know mini-zines which cleared a hurdle, so I could just create some hooey. In addition, mini-zines are super easy to duplicate, because you just have to copy a sheet of paper. Bring your favorite background paper, favorite pens, favorite collages, etc.!

Trans, intersex, lesbian and gay people are often criminalized, discriminated, they are often affected by violence and harassment in everyday life. For those affected, repression often follows and they end up in jail. The prison system, guardian of the social order, treats them as people who the state and society consider dangerous and unadapted. Nonetheless, those who do not fit into the society’s narrow, patriarchal and binary gender order – LGBTIQ people – are exposed to this inherent violence in a more specific and more brutal form. We provide info material on the situation of LGBTIQ detainees and advice how they can be supported. An important part of solidarity is to write letters to the prisoners. Workshop /Bitch’n’Stitch by Hafenzimmer (Göttingen)
Like many handicrafts, embroidery was long considered an unfashionable, typically feminine, domestic craft. With this workshop we want to prove the opposite. A look at the cultural history of crafts reveals that embroidery is a global, multi-faceted phenomenon, which in Central Europe only emerged in the context of the development of bourgeois values in the 19th century, parallel to the emergence of the concepts of the „housewife“ and the „mother”, only then this activity was classified as such.
This art has emancipated itself from its stigma for some time now and artists and activists are showing what this versatile medium has to offer. This traditional craft can be rediscovered and tested by the participants in this workshop and adopt as a form of expression by embroidering motifs away from the typical „virtuous-decent“ forms. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced and open to all.
Material such as fabric, yarn and needles are available – it is best to bring your own hoop, as ours are limited. Please write with the registration if you need one.

„Why I Stopped Making Merch for a Revolution That Does not Happen.“ is a dizzying essay on art, activism and survival as an artist in activist contexts. It is a monologue written down within a few days that begins in the remnants of punk in the 80s, touches on the beginnings of street art, anarchist and queer subcultures in Berlin, and finally ends in 2016 with the heavy but necessary decision to quit. „Why I Stopped Making Merch …“ is bitter, disappointed and angry. It is personal, critical and raises many questions.
Yori is no bit smarter after more than 1000 markets and more than 1000 designs, but is enriched by a lot of experience.

In this workshop you’ll learn how to handpoke. Handpoke means tattooing without a machine, tattoo needle and by hand only. You will also learn how to make a stencil and apply it to the exercise skin (fruit in this case). You will be told how to work hygienic and sterile and how to set up and dismantle your workplace. And of course, how to tattoo. Please choose a small motive beforehand.

Open for LGBTIAQ* & friends Together with Squeezie our summer season begins in a new location! From now on you’ll find us in the beautiful garden »Heiter bis Wolkig« close to Plagwitz train station (Röckener Straße 44). But that’s not the only news! Beginning in June, queer.Bier will regularly be taking place on the second Thursday of every month from 6.00pm onwards. Everything else stays the same: Together with other folks who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, inter, asexual and/or queer, you’re invited to chat, flirt, or just relax and have a beer or a soda in the garden and sit by the campfire later on. As we want this evening to be enjoyable for everyone, we ask all of you to be respectful to each other.
Barrier-free access and toilet. Please dispose your cigarette butts solely in the ash trays and be careful with the greenery of the fruit garden. Due to night’s rest we need to end at 10pm.
